Brain2TSV the utility for Google Subscribed Link feeds
Brain2TSV the utility for Google Subscribed Link feeds
Brain2TSV is a utility to help you create feeds for Googles “Subscribed Links” feature.
Subscribed Links is a small part of Google’s Integrated Search project.
In essence, if a user subscribes to your feed as a TRUSTED source, then your feed can appear in their web search results, in slot 4. The results are triggered by the search keyphrases you assign.
Naturally the triggered feed search results compete against any other trusted feed sources using the same trigger phrases. We suspect the usual Google preferences for priority will apply (popularity, relevancy, freshness, frequency, other credentials such as backlinks, etc.).

Whilst GSL isn’t a great advantage in SERP or client relationship terms, it does have some side benefits which we discuss in the newsletter.
What I mean by that is that if the surfer already trusts you enough to subscribe to you as a trusted source then you should already be in frequent contact via RSS, email, blogs, forums and other communications, so they should be thinking of asking you directly.
Where GSL (Google Subscribed Links) comes in to its own, is in for things that the surfer may not “associate” with you.
So say you sell printers and they forget that you sell ink or glossy photo paper. Or say you just started stocking a new brand of printer, or started doing a range of scanners, and they did not know.
Of course GSL should offer “VALUE” (certainly not just a sales catalogue or affiliate links) so it is ideal for providing tips and news on topcis “RELATED” to your core activity. So if you sell printers, perhaps ink saving tips, or design tip, or any issue that someone who prints may face.
There are four ways to handle and create GSL feeds and we discuss some behind the scenes tactics about these in the newsletter. Such as why our method is arguably even better than the other 3.
To get Brain2TSV version 1 for NO CHARGE and to receive the GSL tactics tips newsletter, simply pop your email in the form. We promise zero spam and that we will not rent, sell or share your details.
